The Edublox franchise on the West Rand is managed by ex-teacher Monique van Heerden. This delightful and energetic lady spent ten years as a teacher before deciding to investigate the cognitive development potential of Edublox products. At first she helped children from her home. After seeing the incredible results that she could achieve in a relatively short period of time, she became an Edublox franchisee.

Her training as a remedial teacher has helped her tremendously in her new venture, and she jokes that her husband says she is the only person he knows who starts looking forward to going to work on a Sunday already! Monique believes that she has achieved her first goal of becoming a successful Edublox practitioner and she is now working hard at achieving her second goal, that of becoming a successful businesswoman. She has conquered her fear of marketing because she believes so much in her product that marketing to parents is a pleasure.

Monique firmly believes that her biggest talent lies in being able to change the energy in a classroom from a listless, don't-care attitude to one of excitement and enthusiasm. She really enjoys her work and the results that she has seen has made her determined to carry on for a long time to come.
