We Make Learning and Reading Easy!

  • Does your child have a learning difficulty?
  • Is he struggling to reach his full potential?
  • Is your child battling to concentrate, or is his memory poor?
  • Does he read slowly and hesitantly, or with poor comprehension?
  • Does he confuse letters like b and d?
  • Does he spell words as they sound, for example “rite” for “right”?
  • Has he been diagnosed with dyslexia or ADHD?

These are some of the problems that we deal with at the Edublox Reading and Learning Clinics.

At Edublox we address the causes of learning and reading problems. Because we address the causes and not the symptoms, we are able to solve learning and reading problems effectively.

A weak foundation in cognitive skills is the biggest issue facing struggling learners and readers. Underlying cognitive skills — concentration, auditory processing, working memory, etc. — must function well for you to efficiently and easily read, think, prioritise, understand, plan, remember, and solve problems.

Many children become frustrated and find schoolwork difficult because they do not have the cognitive skills required to process information properly. Hundred and thirty studies have shown that 88% of below-grade-level readers have significant weaknesses in cognitive skills. It can be said that learning and reading without good cognitive skills is like flying without wings.

The great news is that these weaknesses can be attacked head-on. The key is to identify the specific cognitive weaknesses and to strengthen these mental skills through dynamic training and practice. That’s right, cognitive skills can be improved, strengthened, and enhanced.

Contact an Edublox Reading and Learning Clinic today, let us teach your child these fundamental learning skills, help him become an independent learner, and give him the gift of achievement. It’s an investment — for life!
